St John the Baptist
Church of England Primary School

Intake 2021

We know at this time of year many parents will be starting to think about school places for their youngsters due to start school in September 2021. Sadly, Covid-19 restrictions mean that we are currently unable to offer our usual Open Evening event or individual school tours. What we have decided to do is to host a series of live virtual meetings which will give you the opportunity to meet the Headteacher, learn about our school and ask any questions you might have.

Our vitual meetings will be held via Microsoft TEAMS, which is available free of charge. If you don't have TEAMS the link on the left will explain to you how to get it and we advise that you do this and test that it works prior to the meeting.

If you have any queries about downlaoding TEAMS or you can't join a TEAMS meeting then please do call the school office on 01775 722644 and arrange a telephone appointment.

We look forward to meeting you.

All of our online meetings have now taken place. If you missed them please contact school and we will arrange for you to either have a telephone meeting or to be shown our tour via TEAMS so that you can see the school and meet the Headteacher.

Welcome From the Headteacher

Welcome to St John the Baptist C.E. Primary School's website. Through the pages and information you will find here we hope to give you a flavour of what goes on every day in our school.

Where you decide to have your child educated is one of the most important decisions you will make. You will want them to achieve their best, to be happy, to develop their social skills and increase their confidence. These are all important to us as well, and we believe that through working with you we can help youngsters to achieve their potential.

Here at St. John’s, as well as helping children to achieve their academic potential, we also strive to offer a wide and varied curriculum. Subjects such as P.E and Games, Art, History and Music are all important to us.

Our children, staff, parents and governors form the basis of our learning community. The relationships we forge are important to us and are vital if we are to help everyone at St John’s to grow and develop. Choosing St John’s will mean that you and your family become part of this community, and we will do our very best to help you feel part of our school.

I am proud of our high standards and of our school ethos, which is founded in our church foundation. Please take a look at our website and give me a call to make an appointment to look around our school to see for yourself the difference we can make.

I look forward to meeting you.
