Top Tips To Help A SEND Child
Listen to your child and discuss anything which might be giving cause for concern.
If they are struggling with any homework praise what they can achieve.
Don’t make the completion of homework a battle!
Little and often—work with your child for short periods of time, say 10 minutes each day rather than for an hour.
Use games to encourage learning, e.g., ‘I spy’, matching pairs, 20 questions, jigsaws, puzzles.
Read to and with your child for enjoyment and fun!
Maintain regular contact with your child’s class teacher.
