Being a Church School
What is a "church" school?
Our school is built on the values of the Christian gospel and these are regularly heard during collective worship and run through the school’s ethos, culture and the day to day engagement that we have with children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community.
We recognise that our role is not to recruit members to the congregations of local churches. Instead our role is to facilitate and support youngsters, families and staff in their journey of making sense of and responding to life’s “big questions”. This we do by providing opportunities to explore, question and grow - in a safe and secure environment which nurtures and values the ideas and thoughts of all as they try and make sense of the complex world in which we live.
So regardless of faith background, belief or culture..... all are welcome to share that journey with us and our aim is that we will "inspire individual excellence within a vibrant community that is rooted in deeply held Christian values."
