Well-Being and Personal Development
At St John's we understand that in order to enable all in our community to shine we must do everything we can to support mental health, wellbeing and personal development. We have a dedicated Pastoral Team who are always available to support children, staff and their families.
Should you, or your child require support with any area of their wellbeing; friendship issues, bereavement, self-confidence, anxiety, resilience, and much more, please contact our Pastoral Team Lead.

Personal Development
Throughout the school children are taught 9 skills that we believe are essential to develop in order to become life long, independent learners who can apply metacognitive skills to their learning. These skills also help to develop confident minds and characters, and help to prepare the children for KS3 and their lives beyond. These skills can be found in our skills square below:
These skills are taught and discussed throughout the children's time at St Johns and children are awarded for working on them in our weekly Celebration Worship. More information about this cann be found in our behaviour policy here:

The benefits of a good nights sleep
We understand that family life can be very busy and this, coupled with all of the exciting activities our children engage with while at school, means it is important that our children have regular and healthy sleep.
If this is something that you are finding difficult to implement, please follow the link below to find some advice and guidance from Great Ormond Street in regard to sleep hygiene.
